The role of the Negafa in a modern Moroccan marriage is very different from that which it fulfilled in the traditional marriage. Indeed, modern marriage no longer depends on the  services that Negafa offered in traditional marriage. It is limited to the rental of a few jewels and the necessary equipment and personnel for the “Dora”. This in no way diminishes its importance, quite the contrary, her performance must be perfect and synchronized with the rest of the providers. The presence of the Negafa is important when it comes to the accompaniment of the masterful return of the bride with the famous “Amaria” and the “Dora”.
